A specialized section in breeding and producing multi-species falcons to preserve ecological balance and revive Arab heritage
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, have shown continuous interest and support for initiatives to protect endangered falcon species, preserve them, and provide opportunities for breeding and completing their life cycle.
The falcon breeding section is the largest facility in H3 Falcon Reserve, comprising multiple types of tasks and stages: pairs, mothers, eggs, hatching, and healthcare. These different stages are carefully managed and supervised by specialists and experts, within an integrated genetic research strategy and hereditary lineage studies, through a pre-planned strategy for falcon production and quality excellence.
Saif bin Kadida Al Falasi, the supervisor and administrative manager at the reserve, says that the falcon breeding and production stage depends on the bird's age and selecting the appropriate mate. The mating season requires preparing the suitable atmosphere in mating rooms, providing appropriate lighting, and controlling temperature and humidity levels.
This section gives high priority to producing multi-species falcons, including: Peregrine, Saker, and Gyrfalcon; due to the importance of maintaining ecological balance, reviving the ancient Arab heritage, and organizing championships and races.
